The 48mm diameter solid round two-body case, curved screwed lugs, and stepped bezel, are brushed/polished. It has a matte black dial with white SuperLumiNova SLN C1 Arabic numerals and brushed ruthenium minute and hour fancy segmented cathedral-style hands with luminous SuperLumiNova insert. There is a GMT center hand with a skeletonized Red arrow indicator, and there is a luminous white perimeter 24-hour scale. It has a large onion-shaped screw-down winding crown, and an intricately engraved solid case back with Zenith flying instruments logo and "MONTRE D’AERONEF – ZENITH FLYING INSTRUMENTS". There is a plaque with the serial number fixed with two blue screws on the left-side case band, and an applied faceted Zenith star is at 12 o’clock. It is fitted on a patinated nubuck leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle with a Zenith star. 

This Zenith Pilot Type 20 GMT has a mechanical automatic Zenith Caliber 693 movement. It’s rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and it’s constructed with a straight-line lever escapement, 26 jewels, a shock absorber system, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillating weight features Côtes de Genève motif and oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
